The Beaver Watershed Alliance is a nonprofit group working to advance conservation in the Beaver Lake watershed area. Beaver Lake is the source water drinking supply, serving over 500,000 Arkansans in the NWA area and beyond. Conservation starts on individual lands, but the benefits can positively impact both people and wildlife downstream, and ultimately improve our drinking water supplies. Choosing to work with water on your property, and treating it an asset rather than a liability, can be a first step towards achieving goals. There are also resources available to help you develop management plans for nutrients, wildlife and forestry. A plan can help guide actions to achieve your goals. Learn more about the Beaver Lake watershed, its importance, and some ways you can start planning for watershed conservation on your property. Healthy forests = clean water.
