The Art and Science of Food Plots

Food plots can be effective at concentrating deer for harvest and possibly provide nutrition when natural foods are scarce. They also require intensive management and a significant financial investment compared to other practices to reach their maximum potential. Studies about preferred food plot plantings will be reviewed. Lessons learned and options will be explored.
