This meeting is to spark interest in forming a Prescribed Burn Association in Central Arkansas. A PBA is a collection of landowners that are interested in sharing knowledge, work and equipment to manage their lands with prescribed fire. PBA's typically purchase liability insurance, host training workshops and write grants to purchase equipment to benefit their members. Members assist with burns on neighbor's property in return for help burning their own property. This effort is supported by technical expertise from Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Quail Forever and other land management agencies. Participants from this meeting will leave with contact information of like-minded neighbors and a plan to develop their own PBA in Central Arkansas. Dinner is provided, free of charge.
