The Arkansas Forestry Association made the difficult decision to change the 2020 Annual Meeting from an in-person meeting to a virtual meeting.  Although many of the social distancing restrictions are being lifted, the health and safety of all conference attendees are AFA’s highest priorities.

The AFA staff and the program committee have put together an exciting lineup of speakers and topics, and the meeting will be held on the same days the meeting was originally scheduled (September 29 - October 1).  Our general session line-up on Wednesday, September 30 includes Hardy Wentzel, President and CEO of Structurlam; Heidi Brock, President and CEO of the American Forest and Paper Association; Pete Stewart, President and CEO of Forest2Market; and, Aurelia Skipwith, Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Please return the form by August 15.

The meeting format—three days of content—will provide participants educational opportunities without leaving the house. On Tuesday, September 29, we will have a workshop geared towards landowners on forest health and ethics training for foresters, as well as an AFA Board of Directors meeting.

Wednesday is a full day of general sessions, with topics touching on every aspect of forestry, including a congressional update from Congressman Bruce Westerman.  The meeting concludes Thursday morning with a unique showcase of AFA award winners and their contributions to our community.

CFEs will be provided during the meeting.

You can choose which days you would like to attend when you register for the event. To attend the Forest Management Workshop on Tuesday it will cost $25, to attend the General Session on Wednesday, it will cost $100, and for both Tuesday and Wednesday, it will cost $125.
