Conference Topics:
The 71st Annual Meeting will host a top-notch lineup of experts exploring areas of Arkansas' forestry industry. Meeting attendees will learn more about: 
  • Issues and opportunities in the marketplace
  • Arkansas forests and drinking water - how forests provide clean drinking water to entities in Arkansas
  • Hot topics for the 2016 election and the 2017 legislative session - update on public policy and the legislative horizon
  • Why international companies are choosing Arkansas - a panel discussion with representatives from Canfor, Interfor and West Fraser
  • The big picture on biomass - is there biomass available in Arkansas, and how does it compete with other markets?


Forestry Management Workshop:
Forestry professionals will be on hand to discuss topics geared toward assisting private landowners. Highlights include Arkansas' Trespass Law, Forestry Ethics and Apps, Maps and Drones. 
The Chancellor Hotel is offering a group rate to AFA Annual Meeting attendees. The room rate is $119 - single or double. To make your reservation, call 1-479-442-5555 and refer to the "Arkansas Forestry Association Annual Meeting" to receive the group rate. Reservations must be made by September 4, to receive the group rate.
Parking will be complimentary on the 1st and 3rd level of the Municipal Parking Garage. 
Silent Auction:
We welcome door prize and silent auction donations that you may want to provide. The silent auction benefits the AFA Education Foundation (AFAEF). Please let us know what silent auction item/s you will be bringing by emailing so that bid sheets may be created. 
You may bring these items with you to the annual meeting or ship them to the AFA office at 1213 W. 4th Street, Little Rock, AR 72201. 
You will receive a receipt for your silent auction items that may be used as a tax-deduction, as AFAEF is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
